Statewide Star Party: UNC Asheville
Join UNC Asheville and the Astronomy Club of Asheville for the official kickoff event of the 2013 NC Science Festival! We’re hosting a special star party outside on the Quad where we’ll be star-gazing and observing with telescopes, including views of Jupiter and deep-sky objects. Meanwhile, in the Robinson Hall lobby, take a digital tour of the universe in the Geodome Portal, an open-environment half dome providing an immersible and visual experience, brought to you by UNC Asheville’s NEMAC, the Colburn Earth Science Museum, and The Elumenati. Geodome tours begin at 8pm; Observing begins at 8:45pm.
