Want to celebrate the NC Science Festival with your afterschool, scout, or youth group, but not sure where to begin? The Festival has hands-on activities perfect for elementary-aged children. Afterschool program participants at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center have field-tested every activity for science value, ease and fun.
You can also bring educators from Morehead Planetarium and Science Center right to you through a variety of outreach programs!
The mission of out of school programming is to promote equity of access to high-quality science learning opportunities in order to increase interest, ensure understanding, and demonstrate the relevance of science to all students’ lives. Activities are designed for all students regardless of socioeconomic status, learning abilities, etc. Scholarship assistance is available!
