The Calm Before the Storm: Human Interaction with the Natural Landscape

9 am Thursday, April 19 & 26 Charlotte

This exhibition continues the examination of man and his relationship with the environment, a photographic theme that began with the influential 1975 exhibition New Topographics: Photographs of a Man-Altered Landscape, which rejected the 19th century romanticized view of the environment and focused on the intervention of industry – land transformed by human presence, directly and/or indirectly. Artists include Camille Seaman, Eric Tomberlin, Kathleen Robbins.

FESTIVAL NOTE: We’re featuring this wonderful exhibition on Thursdays; however, The Light Factory has daily hours. Please visit their website for information on other times to visit.
