Going Green at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools

Each school day during the Festival, students at one Charlotte Mecklenburg School will experience presentations and activities related to the CMS environmental stewardship initiative. Energy conservation, recycling, air quality, asthma education, and more will be featured. Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools has been designated as Energy Star Leader and Sustained Model of Excellence by USERA, earned the Outstanding Education and Outreach Award by the Carolinas Recycling Association, and has been named Duke Energy Power Partner of the Year.
