NC Mining Technology

2 pm Monday, April 16 Concord

Want to know how gold, copper, and gems are mined in North Carolina? Curious about life down in the mines? The Cabarrus County Public Library will offer an informative lecture on mining technologies used in N.C. Join us to learn more about types of mining in N.C., mining equipment employed in Tar Heel mines, and chemical methods used in mining. A spokesman from the Reed Gold Mine State Historic Site will use mining artifacts and graphical displays to lead the discussion, and will then answer questions from the audience.
