Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering Open House
The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering invites you to an open house during the North Carolina Science Festival. You’ll have a chance to visit the newest research school in NC, tour the labs and see what live lab research looks like. We’ll have a video explaining what nanoscience is, and our professors will answer your questions to allow you to better understand and enjoy the nano world! Our students will have LEGOs set up to give you a chance to see how we apply science in real life as you play. Plus, you’ll get to see our Helium Ion microscope, one of only six in the country and the only one installed in the Southeast, as well as the rest of our advanced microscopes from Zeiss and a variety of equipment from Agilent Technologies, Inc. Explore our “clean room” and “the CAVE” that allows us to create 3-D animations of the amazing nano-structures we work with. See you on Friday, April 20!
