Spring: A Book Club Format

7 pm Wednesday, April 18 Chapel Hill

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring, please join NCBG Director Peter White in this “book club” discussion on the book’s impact as a major landmark in the environmental movement. Participants will independently read Silent Spring with study questions and come prepared to discuss with others. A good opportunity to read a classic that had a huge influence on the birth of the environmental movement. Open to all; serves as a 1/4 credit for students in the Certificate in Native Plant Studies program. Preregistration required: call 919-962-0522.
