Our environmental science, biology, and horticulture students will lead a bio-blitz to discover local insect pollinators and their favorite plants across the many campus landscapes. Use the iNaturalist smartphone app to document these creatures as part of a citizen science initiative. Watch our horticulture and welding class construct pollinator nesting habitats and learn how you can make your own bee, butterfly, and bat houses to support local pollinator populations. Plus, see a demonstration bee hive and test your knowledge in a beekeeping skill quiz. We'll also have a series of expert speakers, vendors, food, campus tours, demonstrations, and more! The following schedule is a breakdown of the day's events: Bio Blitz - Grayson Patton. 9:00-11:00 at Campus Grounds – Meet at SBVE Grand Hall to begin  Discover local insect pollinators and their favorite plants across the many campus landscapes.
