ABOUT THIS EVENT
Each month we will explore an iconic work of Children’s Classic Literature and do either a related craft or a STEM activity.
For April the book is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
In the book the narrator has crashed his plane in the desert and as he attempts to repair his plane, he meets the little prince. For the activity we will be building a little airplane out of various craft materials. We will explore how Airplanes have changed in design from the Wright Brothers original model and some of the science behind how airplanes work. We will also experiment with different paper planes or gliders and seeing which one works better.
